Assist in developing products through all stages, applying theory with the aid of software such as Microsoft Excel, Autodesk Inventor and verifying using real world testing with LabVIEW software. Perform technical and market research as well as work with mathematical formulas and models to implement in controlling algorithms and putting these to the test with prototypes made with Bystronic software. Once the prototypes are made, the engineer will use LabVIEW software and hardware, along with different sensors, to assess performance. Assist in developing and improving new and existing products in both individual and group environments involving people inside and outside the company. Assist in taking current designs and improving upon them to begin new designs and operating principles from the ground up; this involves performing technical specifications such as materials and tolerances, setting design criteria to meet standards and comply with regulations and certifications such as current ASHRAE and AHRI standards, and creating brochures that describe the product using Microsoft Office. The engineer will also support the manufacturing process to ensure proper product quality and implement new innovative ideas to save time and money. The engineer will also provide technical assistance to the sales team and find solutions for the customers in the field to be able to make the product fit their needs.
